Winter 2012 Corec & Girls’ Youth Basketball League
The Wheaton Park District Youth Basketball League emphasizes skill, tactics, sportsmanship and fun…plus it’s a great way to stay physically active. Everyone is guaranteed a chance to play at least one quarter of each game. The first two weeks are set aside for practice. No team meets more than twice a week for practice and games. Coaches contact players after the coaches' meeting in mid-January. All players must wear gym shoes; all participants receive team T-shirts.

Practice times are set according to the volunteer coaches’ schedules and facility availability. Game times may vary. League play is held on Friday night for Corec Grades 1-4 and on Saturdays for Girls and Grades 5-8. Practices are held at various elementary and middle schools. Special requests are not accepted for basketball leagues.
All participants must preregister including those whose parents are volunteer coaches. Register early as grades fill quickly. Please see complete information on basketball registration in the back section of our seasonal program guide. Please state any unique situations on the Youth Athletic Program Information form. The school the child attends as well as his/her address has no bearing on practice sites or team placement. Register by the grade in which the child is currently enrolled.
