Aquaventure Camp

Looking for some cool aquatic action this summer? This unique camp program teaches participant life-saving skills, and they’ll also play water games, create theme craft projects, and participate in other great aquatic activities including a trip to a local aquatic park. Participants must be strong swimmers and must bring a swimsuit, towel, sack lunch and drink each day. Swimmers are asked to bring a white T-shirt the first day of camp. Activities may
change due to weather conditions. (WR)

Camp Blackhawk

Welcome to Camp Blackhawk and our 12th summer featuring crafts,
games, nature activities and more.Campers and their families are invited
to enjoy “Parent’s Night” on the second Tuesday of each session (for the
two week sessions) from 6 to 8 p.m. at Toohey Park, weather permitting.
Bring the family, play games, and find out what your child has been
working on at camp. More information is sent to parents at the beginning
of camp. Campers must be entering grades 1-4 in the fall of 2011. A T-shirt
is included in the fee. (MR)

Camp Goodtimes

This is a great camp for the first time camper or a veteran who wants to
have room in their day for other activities. Join us for some summertime
fun with opportunities to practice creativity, develop social and physical
skills, learn about nature and make new friends. Crafts, games and more
provide campers with some “good times.” Campers must be entering
grades 1-3 in the fall of 2011. (MR)

Camp Illini

Welcome to Northside Park for Camp Illini’s 38th summer of canoeing,
swimming, group games, crafts and nature! Children should bring a sack
lunch and a water bottle unless notified otherwise. Highlights include a
parents’ night with group games for campers and their guests. A T-shirt is
included in the fee. Swimming and canoeing activities take place weather
permitting. Swim lessons are available for an additional fee. Campers must
be entering grades 2-4 in the fall of 2011. (MR)

Camp Ketcha

Welcome to Camp Ketcha and get ready for some real adventure this
summer. This camp is for those who enjoy the outdoors, canoeing,
swimming and field trips to great destinations. All canoeing and swimming
takes place, weather permitting. Also special to this program is our Junior
CIT (Counselor-in-Training) program. This is a camper’s choice program,
so not all campers have to take part. Campers must be entering grades five
through eight in the fall of 2011. (MR)

Fishing Fever

Fishing Fever is designed to teach anglers the basics of safe fishing! We’ll
learn the proper way to bait a hook and cast. You may even catch a
whopper when we go fishing! Fishing poles and bait are provided for use
during camp. (BE)

Horsemanship Camp

This camp is designed for the beginner-novice rider and for anyone
interested in learning about the care of horses. It includes one hour of
riding, and one hour of horse care and study. There is a half-hour lunch
break. Children are to bring a sack lunch and drinks are provided.
Campers can be dropped off at 11:20 a.m. and should be picked up
promptly at 2 p.m. (JB)

Mean Camp Green

We’re celebrating our 28th summer returning to our home cabin at
Northside Park! Sports, crafts, theme days and more are all part of this
active two-week and one-week camp designed for fourth through sixth
graders. Swimming and canoeing activities take place weather permitting.
A highlight is a parents’ night evening for the two-week camp with group
games for campers and their guests. Campers must be entering grades 4-6
in the fall of 2011. A T-shirt is included in the fee. Express sessions are one
week, regular sessions are two weeks. (MR)

Native Ways

Paddle the waters of Northside as we explore the life, skills and pastimes
of Illinois Native American tribes. We’ll also play Native American games,
make crafts and hear stories. (BE)

Nature Adventure Camp

Through cooperative games and hands-on activities, we’ll discover the
wild and wacky world of nature as we investigate insects and animals,
