bkeene@wheatonparks.org The Wheaton Park District offers a wide variety of parks available for rent that are open from sunrise to dusk. Our parks and facilities are the perfect place to host your wedding, birthday, family gathering or school picnic.

How the Reservation Process Works:

  1. Pick a Park Rental
    Download a brochure with photos Park Rentals (PDF, 5.38MB) or scroll through the parks listed below. To rent an outdoor athletic area, please contact the Recreation Department at 630-668-3371 or bkeene@wheatonparks.org.

  2. Check Dates and Times Available
    Email parkrentals@wheatonparks.org or call 630.653.5429 to check availability.
    Reservations should be scheduled at least one (1) week prior to your event.

  3. Process Your Reservation
    Reservations are processed at the Park Services Center. In order to process a reservation, you must have a valid I.D.

    Fees are listed under each Park Level (I, II or III) below. All prices are subject to change without notice. For the most accurate pricing, please contact the Park Services Center at parkrentals@wheatonparks.org or 630.653.5429.

  5. Get Your Permit
    You will sign a permit when you process your reservation. Permits must be brought to your event. More about permits >

Preferred Vendor List

Please review our Preferred Vendor List (PDF) prior to choosing a vendor for your upcoming event. All vendors have the proper licensing and have submitted Certificates of Insurance to the park district. These vendors may be used at any and all of our facilities without an additional fee or monetary obligation by the client.

Parks Available For Rent:

Level I

Level I parks are considered to be Wheaton Park District’s premier parks. These parks offer the opportunity to host beautiful weddings, photo shoots, and also offer special amenities including a bandshell and the beautifully restored Leisure Center.


Hurley Gardens
is one of Wheaton’s most beautiful gardens. These European style gardens are host to many weddings and photo opportunities. The Gardens are located at Creekside Drive, just west of Adare Drive. This small two-acre park has one tennis court. To reserve the park for a wedding or photo shoot, contact the Park Services Center at 630.653.5429 or parkrentals@wheatonparks.org.

Memorial Park is located in the heart of downtown Wheaton at 208 W. Union Avenue. This quaint 2.5 acre park has public washrooms, a tennis court, a band shell and the Wheaton Park District’s Leisure Center.

The Bandshell has been host to many concerts and events in Memorial Park. Electricity is available.

The Leisure Center was originally a coach house and is currently home to the Wheaton Park District’s senior center. This beautiful wood paneled building is handicap accessible and is open to the public Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 3 pm. Level II

Rental Fee* – $60 residents and $120 nonresidents ~ Rates based on a 6-hr. rental
All Level II parks offer public washrooms, picnic shelters and open spaces for your guests to enjoy.


Atten Park
is located at 1720 Wiesbrook Road. This 39-acre park has the following amenities: public washrooms, picnic shelter, basketball courts, baseball fields, tennis courts, soccer field, playground (ages 5-12), and tot lot (ages 2-5).

Briar Patch Park is a 26-acre park and is located between 1700 and 1750 Briarcliffe Boulevard and includes amenities such as public washrooms, a picnic shelter, baseball fields, tennis courts, soccer fields, a playground (for ages 5-12), and a tot lot (for ages 2-5).

Graf Park
, located east of 1855 Manchester Road, is a 24- acre park. This park has the following facilities:
public washrooms, a picnic shelter, baseball, softball, football and soccer fields, a playground (for ages 5-12),
and a tot lot (for ages 2-5). The suggested capacity is 50.

Northside Park
is the largest of the Wheaton Parks at 68 acres and is located at 1300 N. West Street. This historic park includes amenities such as public washrooms, a picnic shelter, basketball courts, a baseball field, tennis courts, soccer fields, an ice skating rink, a playground (for ages 5-12), and a tot lot (for ages 2-5). The suggested picnic shelter capacity is 100.

Girl Scout Cabin was built in the 1930’s by the Works Progress Administration and is host to many summer camps. The building capacity is 25. The suggested fire pit capacity is 50.

Boy Scout Cabin was built in the 1930’s by the Works Progress Administration and has been host to many Boy Scout activities over the past 80 years. The building capacity is 25. The suggested fire pit capacity is 25.

Seven Gables Park
is another of the Wheaton Park District’s largest parks. This 66-acre park is located at 1750 Naperville Road. Seven Gables offers the following facilities: public washrooms, a picnic shelter, a basketball court, baseball fields, tennis courts, soccer fields, an ice skating rink, a playground (for ages 5-12), and a tot lot (for ages 2-5).

Level III

Level III parks offer a wide variety of amenities. Each park offers wide open spaces for your guests to enjoy.


Briarknoll Park
is located at 500 Tennyson Drive. This 6-acre park hosts a soccer field, a playground (for ages 5-12), and a tot lot (for ages 2-5).

Brighton Park is a 5-acre park that is located at 1297 Brighton Drive. This park has a soccer field, a playground (for ages 5 12), and a tot lot (for ages 2-5).

C.L. Herrick Park is located at Armbrust Drive and Herrick Drrive in Wheaton. This park offers an ice skating rink, a playground (for ages 5-12), a tot lot (for ages 2-5), and fishing. The suggested park capacity is 25.

is located at 601 Wakeman Avenue in Wheaton and has a tot lot (for ages 2-5). The suggested park capacity is 25.

(for ages 5-12), a tot lot (for ages 2-5), and fishing. The suggested park capacity is 50.

Kelly Park is one of the most popular of the neighborhood parks. Kelly Park is located at 1100 S. Main Street. This 17- acre park has a picnic shelter, a basketball court, baseball fields, a soccer field, an ice skating rink, a playground (for ages 5-12), a tot lot (for ages 2-5), and a portable washroom available April-October.

Presidents Park, located at the corner of Prospect and Dawes in Wheaton, offers baseball fields, a basketball court, a playground (for ages 5-12), and a tot lot (for ages 2-5). The suggested park capacity is 50.

Rathje Park is a 6-acre park located at 616 Delles Road. Amenities include a baseball field, an ice skating rink, a tot lot (for ages 2-5), and a portable washroom available April-October.

Road.

Permits

Park Permits – A permit is not guaranteed until payment is received. Once payment is received the permit will be issued and must be kept with the person renting the park at all times during the specified time period. Reservations must be made at least one (1) week prior to your event.

Photo Permits – A permit is not guaranteed until payment is received. Once payment is received the permit will be issued and must be kept with the person renting the park at all times during the specified time period. Suggested parks for photos include: Hurley Gardens, Memorial Park, Northside Park and Seven Gables.
