a. Pre-settlement description of park as marshland

3. Flooding Issues - Chris Burke, Christopher B. Burke Engineering, Ltd.
a. Flooding throughout the park
b. Stormwater ordinance and constraints
c. Storage of storm water required (130 acre-feet)

a. Main Street flooding at culvert and impact on City

10. Park Master Plan - Mike Benard, Wheaton Park District
a. Buffer improvements resulting in less sedimentation
b. Hydraulic dredging utilizing property adjacent to Gary Avenue for dewatering
c. Removal of former maintenance facility
d. Permeable pavement to replace existing asphalt paths and parking lots
e. Replacement of the warming shelter including an interpretive component
f. Timeline - March 2008 permitting, 6-9 month review time, construction fall 2009
g. Budget - 1.5 to 2 million for buffer and 4 to 10 million for remainder depending on citizen input
