Meet the Facilitators
Debbie Brunet graduated from Biola University in 2004 with a degree in communications and immediately went into camp work in the Sequoia National Forest in California. After doing work as a lead counselor, outdoor science instructor, and resident director for a college leadership program, she decided to go back to get her masters at Wheaton College! Along with studying, she looks forward to doing Adventure Education in her spare time!
Ron Crayton is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in private practice. He received his Masters Degree from Boston University. He has been an educator for 30 + yrs. and a Wheaton resident for 15 yrs. Ron loves all outdoor activities, riding horses and dancing. He has 2 children and 3 grandchildren.
Pete Curtis is an Eagle Scout and he loves almost anything outdoor related. He recently got married and is a student at the College of DuPage. He has been all over the country with Boy Scouts and hopes to go back to Glacier National Park again soon.
Sharon Daniel is originally from Chicago. She has a Physical Education Teaching Degree from Northeastern Illinois University in Chicago and a Masters Degree in Secondary Education from the University of Tennessee in Martin, TN. She moved to Wheaton in 1989 and has been employed in Elementary Physical Education in Naperville, Downers Grove and Glen Ellyn schools. She loves running, biking, fishing, gardening, and her two yellow labs Gabby and Hoss.
Jackson Hartley decided to change careers after 22 years in manufacturing management positions, including Vice President of Klondike Ice Cream. He teaches Team Building and Leadership at DePaul University as a visiting faculty, and provides management consulting and supervisory training for a variety of clients, such as Kraft Foods, ComEd, and Florida Power, concentrating on supportive communication and Leadership. He has been with the Lincoln Marsh Team and Ropes Course as a facilitator since 1994, and uses many of the same skills and activities that He uses for his business clients.
Liz Waschek is originally from a small rural town in Wisconsin. She enjoys traveling and spent several months in Scotland with YWAM and a month in Morocco. While she studied Mathematics in college, she also loves camping and the outdoors. The first time she was on a Ropes Course, she was terrified – today she loves to help people grow through challenges.
Dianne Wawrzyniak is a teacher in the Cicero School District and has been a facilitator at Lincoln Marsh since 1996. Prior to becoming a teacher, she worked as an internal and external training consultant for a variety of companies in the Chicago area. Dianne also enjoys being outdoors, walking her dog and acting in plays.
