Nature in Your Classroom
Educational programs that support Illinois state learning standards are provided for children ages Preschool through 5th grade.
Can't come to Lincoln Marsh? Let us bring a little nature to you. Invite a naturalist from the Wheaton Park District to visit your classroom for a fun, filled, hands-on lesson.
- Our programs are designed to be as hands on as possible therefore intended for individual classrooms, not large assemblies. The maximum class size is 30.
- Programs are 45 minutes to one hour in length and include a variety of hands-on activities.

Reservation details:
- Decide which of our programs you would like to your group to participate in.
- Choose several dates in the event that your first choice is not available.
- Contact the Lincoln Marsh Office at 630-871-2810 for additional information and reservations.
- A reservation confirmation packet will be mailed to you prior to your visit. Review it carefully and verify all the information. Call us as soon as possible if anything is incorrect or changes (i.e. number of registered students).
- Reservations should be made at least two weeks in advance; earlier registration is appreciated and recommended.
You can count on us:
Our educator will arrive on time and accomplish the goals and/or requirements stated. Our educator will provide a hands-on, fun and educational experience.
Your help is needed to ensure a valuable experience:
- Provide an area for our educator to set up program supplies, an area large enough for the students to sit in a half circle is preferred.
- Please wear nametags.
- Encourage participation, maintain discipline and assist when requested.

Outreach Program Fees:
Fees are per class (maximum class size is 30) and are discounted when class visits are scheduled to run consecutively. If there is a wait exceeding 30 minutes between programs the fee is $70/$90 program.
- In District #200:
$70.00/program
$60 for the 2nd program, when scheduled consecutively
$50 for the 3rd program, when scheduled consecutively
- Out of District #200:
**$90.00/program
$80 for the 2nd program, when scheduled consecutively
$70 for the 3rd program, when scheduled consecutively
**There will be an additional fee for travel outside of Wheaton.

Payments:
- Payment is expected on the day of the program; please attach the confirmation form to the payment.
- Checks should be made to the Wheaton Park District. Payment can be mailed prior to program to:

- A deposit of $45 is required to confirm reservations for all summer programs (June-August). Upon receipt of the deposit, confirmations will be mailed out.
Cancellation Policy:
Cancellation or changes must be made by phone or in writing at least 2 weeks before the program date or there will be a 50% cancellation fee. Refunds will not be made after the last day to cancel.
