Program Overview
The 4th Grade Wetlands Education Program is a work product shared by staff and 4th grade teachers of Wheaton-Warrenville Community Unit School District #200 as well as the staff of the Wheaton Park District's Interpretation and Natural Resources Program at Lincoln Marsh in Wheaton, Illinois.

The wetlands curriculum in school culminates with a full-day field trip to Lincoln Marsh where students participate in hands-on, experience-based lessons that demonstrate why wetlands are valuable. During the month of May, more than 1,000 students will participate in this model program.

This wetland education online feature was created by the Manager of Interpretation & Natural Resources and was made possible by federal grant funds awarded to District #200 by the Illinois State Board of Education from the Technology Literacy Challenge Grant Fund. As a Community Partner in this technology program, the Wheaton Park District continues its commitment to advancing the wetlands education and environmental education.
