New Programs and Opportunities

Wheaton Park District is excited to announce the opening of the Hubble Athletic Center! Through an intergovernmental agreement with School District 200, the park district is using the indoor athletic areas in the old Hubble Middle School facility to provide new programs, rental and party opportunities.

Amenities include...

· 4 basketball courts
· 3 volleyball courts
· 2 batting cages
· Tumbling area
· Indoor soccer training areas
· Baseball/softball training areas
· Meeting/birthday party room
· Concession stand

With the addition of the Hubble Athletic Center comes an increase in the variety and number of programs the Wheaton Park District offers including a tumbling program for older participants which expands on our current offerings. In addition, we have started a hitting league to provide an opportunity for baseball and softball players to work on their game for this spring. Also featured are youth camps, programs and leagues for basketball, volleyball, soccer, baseball and softball. There's something for everyone!

Hubble Athletic Center is located at 603 S. Main Street, Wheaton.

Guidelines

  1. Check in with Open Gym Supervisor, either presenting a Wheaton Park District Resident Photo ID OR Paying the Daily Resident Fee.
  2. Residents are allowed one non-resident guest, the guest must pay the non-resident daily fee
  3. Paid Participants will receive a stamp
  4. Sign the Daily Log and Waiver Form
  5. In order to hand out a ball a Valid ID must be turned in (Wheaton Park District Resident Photo ID, School ID, Driver’s License)
  6. In order to get the ID back the participant must return the ball that was given to them
  7. Street Shoes are not permitted on the gym floor
  8. No one is allowed to hang on the rim, if the person does so ask them to leave
  9. No one owns the baskets, they must share
