New Faces at Cosley Zoo

Cosley is pleased to introduce many new animal faces to the zoo. First, is a new White-tailed Deer that arrived in October. Like many of the wild animals at Cosley Zoo, this new doe (female deer) was illegally raised by people causing her to become imprinted on humans. This means that she does not possess the necessary skills to survive in the wild. This deer sustained an injury to her nose prior to coming to live at Cosley Zoo. While it looks odd, it does not cause her discomfort or affect her sense of smell. Cosley Zoo receives its wild animals from licensed facilities such as zoos and wildlife rehabilitators.
