Line Cook (Part-time)

Location: Arrowhead American Grill, 26 W151 Butterfield Rd, Wheaton, IL 60187

Job Summary:
A fast-paced position involving preparation of food in accordance with the established recipes and industry standards at Arrowhead American Grill. Ensure that services are conducted and fulfilled in a manner consistent with the goals and objectives of the Wheaton Park District.

Qualifications:
o Knowledge or professional cooking and knife handling skills.
o Knowledge of safety and food handling guidelines and procedures.
o Understanding of proper use and maintenance of all major kitchen equipment including stoves, refrigeration, slicer, knives and dish machine.
o Knowledge of local, state, and federal health and sanitation laws.
o Ability to work in a team environment and take direction.

Essential Duties:
o Set up kitchen before shift and/or tear down at end of day.
o Inspect food preparation and service areas to ensure observance of safe, sanitary food handling practices. Dispose of trash.
o Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen equipment.
o Follow established recipes to ensure consistency and quality standards using all necessary kitchen equipment including but not limited to grill, oven, and microwave.

Salary: $12.00 per hour

Hours:
Flexible with some nights. 35 hours per week.
